Formerly the Boston Urban Grower for The Food Project, Jess Liborio managed two farm sites in Roxbury and Dorchester, Mass. Jess is an alumnus of The Food Project and started in the 1994 Seed Crew. Before returning to The Food Project, Jess worked on various farms and at a public health consulting firm called John Snow, Inc. Jess has been on staff since 2005 and in that time has worked on the Lincoln, Lynn, Beverly, and Boston farm sites. Currently, she manages food production on two acres of urban farmland in Boston and distribution at farmers' markets and to hunger relief organizations. In addition, she directs the urban agriculture portion of The Food Project's youth programs. Jess works closely with neighbors, community and backyard gardeners, and organizational partners to improve neighborhood access to fresh, local produce.
